My only concern about getting someone else to do Heavenly Sword 2 is that new developers always want to change something basic in order to put their mark on the franchise....something like taking a character who, along with all his siblings, has had white hair for the past 4 games and 10-15 years and making that hair black, for no reason other than to prove that they own the character and that the fans don't. I would say that Bayonetta is complex and diverse. Bayonetta has lots of weapons and combinations of weapons, but you don't need to use them. If you want to take it upon yourself to make a game play differently, then any game can be complex. Kratos has more need to use his different weapons than Bayoneta did. But to be frank, I would not call either game's combat complex.

My point is that its pure BS that they couldn't make money from selling 1.5 million copies of their game. If they lost money after selling 1.5 million copies then it is because of their incompetence or someone's dishonesty. Heavenly Sword was a new IP, releasing in the first year of its console's life by a third party developer. If they spent so much that they had to sell 2 million copies in order to break even, then they are stupid.

It is rather amazing how delusional some people still are about this. It should be clear to everyone who watches both consoles now that there are several games on PS3 that could not be on the 360 without reducing the graphical output.

Bayonetta has combat over God of War???? I think not. Bayonetta is MUCH more of a button masher than GOW3, although neither one of them is like Ninja Gaiden. I never learned any combos in Bayonetta. I just mashed through the entire game.
Bayonetta was fun, though. It is the only game that I bought for my 360. I bought my 360 too late, after it the all its good exclusives were already past. But Bayonetta was very good, just not as good as God of War 3.
All animated women are disproportional and unrealistic when compared to real-life women, the men are as well for that matter. Bayonetta is no different.
As far as animated/video game characters go, I think Bayonetta is hot. More importantly I like the fact that they made her hot by emphasizing her legs instead of giving her triple-D cup breasts like most other video game makers do.

For them to give Dante black hair is an act of Ninja Theory taking ownership of the character,..so much so that if you are an old fan then you don't know if you will like the series. Ninja Theory is clearly changing everything completely from the ground up.

I agree the multi-plats do not equal stronger sales. Some games naturally belong one platform or the other because the fanbase naturally prefers that type of game.
